Alaska 529 Plan
Alaska’s 529 plan is called Alaska529. They have 3 types of portfolios to choose from. There are enrollment portfolios, static portfolios, and there is the University of Alaska portfolio. All of these portfolios are currently managed by T Rowe Price.
Alaska 529 Plan - University of Alaska Portfolio - plan type 1
- Allows investors to lock in todays prices for future college enrollment at the University of Alaska
- Funds can be used at most colleges within the United States plus some qualified colleges around the world
- Funds are invested in mutual funds and are subject to market fluctuation
- Investors can have a combination of all 3 plan types

- Great for investors not interested in managing their own portfolios
- Professional money management
- Automatic rebalancing – as the beneficiary ages the portfolio becomes more conservative
- Funds can be used at most colleges within the U.S. and some colleges around the world
- Investors can have a combination of all 3 plan types
Alaska 529 plan - Static Portfolios - plan type 3
- Investor can choose between 5 predetermined static portfolios
- Asset allocation percentages remains relatively the same
- There is no drastic rebalancing like the enrollment portfolios
- Investors can have a combination of all 3 plan types
